Ty Z., a fifth grader, created this beautiful logo for the event:
The first two hundred families to arrive for the evening received a literacy bag, complete with a new book, headphones, and plenty of other reading swag.
Musical performances from community and school musicians were fantastic!
Of course I couldn't resist the bacon photobooth.
The book fair was busy ALL evening long.
Even Yogi Bear from the Jellystone Campgrounds stopped in for a visit.
And oh, the activities! Just a few of the stations included Piggie and Elephant Dance Off, Recording Studio, Name that Tune, Trivia, Guitar Pick Decorating, Rain Stick Making, T-Shirt Bag Making, Zumba, Bookmark Making, Origami Yoda, Jan Brett Crafts, Guitar Hero, and Wii Dance.
What a great evening! Well over 600 people attended this event. It wouldn't be possible without the evening's sponsors and of course all of the volunteers from Pioneer. Thank you everyone for making this a wonderful night. Any ideas for the fourth annual Family Reading Night?
